At Acclipse we love accountants, and we listen to them - a lot.

We've got review processes and feedback loops for each of our teams, to make sure we don't miss out on what they have to say.

We find this interaction reveals some 'good stuff' by way of ideas and suggestions that we can take on board to improve certain aspects of our products and services. Whether it be prioritising development or modifying our training and implementation process for new users as they come on board.

Recently, the team in Support received a few requests asking us to accommodate firms who want to invoice as multiple entities. This made complete sense to us, as many of our users operate under 2 names (eg. one for accountancy services, and one for financial planning). Anyway, the Support team talked to the Product Managers, and they got the ball rolling.

The result - iFirm now lets you manage multiple billing entities. A feature that is very useful for firms that require separate default invoice and statement templates.

Each invoice in the system is linked to a billing entity when it is finalised, which creates a transaction in the debtors' ledger, which in turn is linked to the same billing entity as the invoice.

If, by mistake, you select the wrong entity on an invoice, you simply 'un-finalise' that invoice which removes the debtors transaction from the debtors' ledger. You can then change the billing entity on the invoice and finalise the invoice again, which will then link the debtors' transaction to the correct billing entity.

This is just one example of a great feature that originated from a user suggestion, and we know its making life easier for a large number of firms. So keep the feedback coming, and help us build more features you'll like into iFirm.
